About the Owner

Shengjun Lu grew up in the countryside of northern China helping his family to grow and to maintain large fields of crops.  Nearly four decades later, he still enjoys working with plants.

Shengjun founded Lu Restoration Nursery with the aim of combining his love of plants and his respect for the environment to repair vegetation damaged by human activities.  His expertise includes seedling physiology, plant nutrition, plant toxicity, and rhizosphere physiology.

With a PhD in plant physiology and over 25 years of experience in plant research and production, Shengjun has extensive expertise in all aspects of ecological restoration.  He has also managed large ecological restoration projects funded by both federal and state government agencies, as well as private companies throughout the western United States.
